It is important to know that these free Supercharging miles do not last forever. Under typical conditions, they will expire six months after they are added. Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla will go ahead and extend the timeline so that owners can properly use the free miles. No specific details have been announced yet on how long free miles will be extended for, but Tesla does not want people to worry about losing the miles they have earned during this tough time.
